Purpose of Position

The LMS Administrator will develop, maintain and support BSI’s Learning Management System.

The role primarily involves Learning Management System (LMS) activities such as structuring, uploading, and maintaining courses and exams, assigning user rights, and creating user groups, as well as setting up and running daily, monthly, and weekly reports.

Additionally, the post holder will also be expected to train colleagues on how to use BSI’s LMS as required and to create all relevant work instructions for end users and administrators. You will report directly to the Assessor & Tutor Academy Development Manager, and work closely with the global teams.

As the LMS Administrator, you will be a key member of the Global Assurance Academy and play an integral role in driving the growth and quality of BSI’s global training and assurance streams.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities- Manage the day-to-day operations of the learning management system.- Configure and maintain the LMS software, including system updates, patches, and integrations.- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth integration with other systems, such as HRWD or CRM.- Write and maintain system documentation, process maps, and work instructions.- Create and manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within the LMS.- Provide user support, including troubleshooting login issues, password resets, and access problems.- Upload and organize learning content, including courses, modules, assessments, and multimedia resources.- Ensure proper metadata tagging, categorization, and version control of learning materials.-
- Generate and analyze reports on user activity, course completion, and learning outcomes.- Provide insights and recommendations based on LMS data to enhance learning effectiveness.- Serve as the primary point of contact for LMS-related inquiries and support requests.- Conduct training sessions or create resources to help users navigate the LMS effectively.- Monitor content for quality, accuracy, and compliance with organizational requirements.- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement and enforce policies related to user access, content standards, and data integrity.- Identify areas for improvement in the LMS functionality, user experience, and learning processes.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

To successfully perform the role, you will use your LMS expertise to ensure that BSI’s online learning platform is effectively set up to deliver content and assessments for both internal and external resource colleagues.

Experience working with an LMS is essential, while knowledge of eLearning, virtual classrooms, and mobile learning tools and technologies is highly desired.

Key Experience Required:
- Experience in structuring an LMS- Knowledge of learning platforms and mobile learning technologies- Knowledge of Litmos- Proven system administration skills, and the ability to develop working procedures that ensure compliance and data integrity- Experience writing work instructions- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.- Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.- Manage workloads effectively, including balancing scheduling conflicts and changing priorities.- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.- Understand concepts quickly and accurately.- Technical IT infrastructure knowledge.- Creative and innovative.- Well-organized and initiative-taking, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.- Exceptional use of MS Office, specifically: PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
