Sit Tester

An opportunity to join a team of experienced testers, that deliver testing services to our Video Lottery Terminal (VLT) products in the Inspired Gaming group portfolio. Testers are expected to test products and take a role in liaising with both product and technology to report issues and manage them through the testing cycle. The role is based at the Test Lab in Burton- Responsibilities- Adhere to test processes set and agreed with the Test Manager.
- Perform analysis of user stories for the release (raising clarification where needed) to assist with the Test Case design
- Complete knowledge transfer for the product under test to understand the solu-tion including integration points
- Understand the test approach and scope agreed as per the test plan
- Create test cases/test scenario’s/Test Scripts based on requirements
- Execute test scripts for new or existing components/configuration/hardware
- Reporting defects in JIRA as per the agreed defect management process, re-sponding in a timely manner if further information is required to progress to resolu-tion
- Ensure all potential production “show-stopper” are identified and reported cor-rectly to all the project stakeholders prior to sign off for release to Production.
- Re-testing of resolved issues
- Maintenance of the test artefacts (Test Cases, Test Scenarios, Test Scripts) to en-sure the regression pack is always up to date
- Perform database testing using the appropriate tools e.g. MS SQL/Oracle when required
- Perform API testing using the appropriate tools e.g. REST API when required
- Work to the agreed release project plan, ensuring all deliverables are met
- Provide input to the Test Team/Test Manager for process improvements
- Skills required- Required skills and Experience:
- 2+ years’ experience of working in a test environment, team or function
- Analysis skills to interpret and understand user stories / requirements
- Demonstrable knowledge of SDLC
- System Test knowledge in an IT focused environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Methodical and disciplined approach
- Ability to manage own deadlines effectively.
- Experience of using defect tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail
- Proficient in creating and understanding Test Scripts
- Experience of Database tools e.g. Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server
- Experience of Test Management tools such as Test Rail

Desirable Skills and Experience
- ISTQB Foundation in Software Testing
- Experience of REST API calls
- Software testing experience in the Gaming/Betting Industry
