**Associate Project Co-ordinator**
Colibri Scientific is looking for a vibrant Associate Project Co-ordinator to join our growing team working on sample operations for early phase clinical trials. The role is office based.
The role would suit a fresh life science graduate who wishes to pursue a career in Project Management. **It is essential that you have a Life Science degree.**
Colibri Scientific is a growing company which provides personalised operational and scientific clinical sample services to clinical investigators, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies running Phase 1 and 2 multi-centre studies.
Based in Wilmslow, we are a family friendly company, therefore, can tailor working hours to suit the successful applicant.
The Associate Project Co-ordinator supports the Project Management team in maintenance of clinical sample database, booking sample shipments and assisting in the resolution of study queries. This role would be appointed with an end goal of advancing to a Project Manager role.
Being a small company, the successful applicant for either role must be willing to turn their hand to any company activity including administration and kit building, where required to meet deadlines.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Transfers data from sample documentation to company LIMS system and perform quality control checks.
- Ensures that sample shipment schedule is updated.
- Books and monitors courier shipments, as required by Project Manager.
- Assists in study query resolution.
- Participate in biosample log in and retrieval process.
- Comply with regulatory processes and standards, specifically Good Clinical Practice and ISO 9001.
- Updates study budgets with shipping costs.
- Proactively contribute to contingency plans, mitigating sample operational risk.
- Ensure lessons learned are considered, shared and improvements in Colibri operational processes.
- Act as requested on behalf of the management team to support business needs
- Participate in external and internal audits as required.
**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- Possess strong interpersonal skills for interaction with staff at all levels. Must be a Team Player.
- Practical laboratory experience an advantage. This may be through university course.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems.
- Possess an understanding of medical and clinical research terminology an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
- Excellent organisational and operational skills
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including good command of English language
