**Salary**:£45,441 to £50,512 per annum.

**Location**: Your office base will be Chichester and a typical week will combine homeworking with attendance at the office or site visits. This is led by the needs of the service.

**Contract**: Permanent.

**Working pattern**: Full-time, 37 hours per week. Flexible working options available, to be agreed with your line manager.

**Employer Pension Contribution**: 19.70% this alters per annum on the 1st April each year.

**Annual leave**: 30 days holiday + Bank holidays = 38 days.

As the Principal Team Leader in Client Transport, you will oversee teams of transport planning staff to ensure safe and appropriate transport for over 7000 residents, including those with special needs.

You and your team will work with bus, coach, minibus, taxi companies and specialist transport suppliers. You will oversee client transport activities and manage a significant budget in a challenging financial environment, collaborating with policy, budget leads, and finance officers in other directorates.

You will take the lead supporting your team in the delivery of the services, sometimes dealing with highly complex information.
**What we need from you**:

- Ability to organise, plan and meet set targets. Ability to forward plan long term, make effective judgments, and continuously develop services and staff to meet objectives and deadlines.
- Communication and interpersonal skills. This includes influencing stakeholders to make appropriate decisions to ensure projects and service changes are completed within set parameters and adhered to as necessary.
- Ability to deliver a comprehensive client transport planning and delivery service.
- Sound and accurate IT skills.
- Experience of supporting key stakeholders through complex and challenging processes and delivery mechanisms, often with completing demands.
- Experience of delivering high profile projects / service enhancements.
- Management of large-scale budgets / expenditure.
- Management and development of teams of staff delivering key projects.
- Report writing and presenting experience, including for senior / political reports.
