Job Overview:
CIRO’S is a new neighbourhood cafe, deli and wine bar located in Islington, near Essex Road station. Focused on serving specialty coffee by Climpson & Sons, plant based cookies & cakes from Eat by Amy, home made sandwiches & mediterranean dishes, natural wine, and many more exciting products.

We are looking for a friendly and passionate front of house team member to join our deli & wine bar. As a waiter/barista, you will be responsible for crafting and serving delicious, high-quality coffee drinks to our valued customers, be knowledgeable about our wine & food offering, and support the events we hold. Your warm personality will shine through as you interact with our guests to ensure a memorable experience.

We host regular wine & cheese events as well as supper clubs.

Wine & coffee training provided.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea & other drinks
- Prepare and serve a variety of food options e.g., pastries, toasties, salads etc.
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanour
- Take customer orders and process payments via counter and table service
- Keep the coffee, bar and dining area clean and organised
- Master and stay up-to-date with the menu offerings and seasonal specialty drinks & wine
- Answer phone calls and use booking system
- Follow h&s guidelines, complete daily checklists

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant or coffee shop environment preferred but not essential as training will be provided
- Exceptional customer service skills and be able to build positive relationships
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Proven ability to upsell products and increase revenue
- Ability to adapt to change quickly
- ability to work alone as this may sometimes be required
- Must be able to stand and move for several hours at a time
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
