The School of Computing and Engineering promotes research development and provides a research-supportive environment. Collectively, the School has secured over £25M in external funding from UKRI and Horizon 2020.

Research in the Department of Computer Science covers an international portfolio and is headed by world leading researchers working within a number of research centres, including the Centre for Planning, Autonomy and Representation of Knowledge (PARK), the Centre for Cyber Security (CCS), the Centre for Industrial Analytics (CIndA) and the Centre for Mathematics and Data Science.
