Machine Operative

Machine Operatives will be on a temporary to permanent contract, working 37.5 hours per week on a weekly rotational shift pattern.

**Early shifts are 6am to 2:15 pm Monday to Friday, and the late shift consists of 2 pm to 10 pm Monday to Friday.** Flexibility will be required to work some early Saturday shifts on a rotation pattern.

**Pay Rate**:

- **£10.71 per hour to start** with it increasing to **£11.02 **when upskilled, overtime available at premium rates at weekends also.
- **Monthly performance bonus **which is assessed on performance, attendance, lateness etc and for the last 4 months has been in excess of **£200 minimum**

As a Machine Operator/Process Worker, you will receive full training that will enable you to undertake a range of manufacturing processes to produce high-quality finished products.

**Machine Operator/ Process Worker requirements**:

- **Relevant experience within a production/manufacturing environment**, with experience of handling heavy palletized goods. Glass industry experience would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Have a good eye for detail and pride in your work
- Be keen to learn new processes
- Be able to work on the rotating shift pattern
- Although not essential, a valid forklift license and/or an overhead crane certificate would be highly advantageous, as would experience within the glass manufacturing industry.
