A fabulous co-educational independent day & boarding school for girls ages 3 - 18. Set in beautiful Edinburgh. Catering for about 700 students and teachers. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast, lunch & dinner. There will be a good amount of hospitality offering at this location. Predominantly a term time plus contract and number of weeks can vary depending on the role. This school operates 7 days a week so working patterns are 5 out of 7 days and has ample on street parking with great bus routes.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a **Kitchen Porter** to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in **Edinburgh.**

You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

WORKING WEEK 6.30AM to 15.00

44 weeks per year term time only

**Key skills**:

- Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
- Excellent customer service skills
- Great team player
- Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
- Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
- Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
- Operate industrial dishwasher

**We are looking for**:

- Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
- Can do attitude.
- Organisation Skills.

**Knowledge / competencies**:

- Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
- Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
- Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
