Ortus Recruitment are currently searching for a quality Teaching Assistant to support a child in reception. He has experienced some trauma from a young age and sometimes finds himself in a flight or flight mentality.

When this happens the key is to keep him focused by using a "now and next board" to show the next part of learning. The child displays some challenging behaviour such as running and climbing onto surfaces.
- **The school are also seeking an individual who has experience working with a child who has Autism. If you have speech and language experience then that would be an advantage.**_

There will be training given upon starting employment to help learn how to best deal and cope with the child.

Aside from working with the child on a one-to-one basis, you will be working alongside an outstanding and experienced class teacher, helping to deliver fun and engaging lessons to pupils of mixed abilities and backgrounds.

The school have recently been graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted and are keen to build on this solid foundation.

**Information about the Reception Teaching Assistant Role**
