**Title: Ecology Lead**

**Location: Grangemouth**

**Salary: £50,000 + (negotiated based on experience)**

My client is looking to bring in a Lead Ecologist to oversee their current ecology unit, develop their skillset and run all ecology projects focussing on Rail, Renewables & Development. Their dedicated ecology, environmental management, and contaminated land teams play a crucial role in comprehensive and integrated engineering and environmental solutions.

**Qualifications**
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in ecology or a related discipline is required.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in a relevant role (e.g. Environmental Consultancy).
- Extensive experience working in a similar role within the ecology, nature, conservation, and biodiversity discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of legislation relating to Ecology amongst surveying techniques and licensing mitigation.
- Membership of a professional institution e.g. CIEEM.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead the day-to-day operations and manage a variety of multidisciplinary projects.
- Manage the Ecology team and seek out new prospects in ecology for IKM, aligned with strategic objectives.
- Develop fee ideas and oversee budgets for the ecology team's workload.
- Communicate with other Discipline Principals.
- Oversee the internal development and technical capabilities of the Ecology team.
