**Payroll Clerk Role Overview**

NC Associates are working with a leading and nationally operating business who are looking for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join their friendly and inclusive team. As a Payroll Clerk you will support the team to process a high-volume payroll and ensure that all employees are paid accurately and in a timely manner. This will initially be a 12-month contract but there is potential for this requirement to extend.

**Payroll Clerk Role Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the Payroll team to ensure the accurate and timely payment of staff salaries through the computerised payroll system.
- Collation and input of all relevant payroll information for the monthly payroll (new starters, leavers, benefits, contract changes, sickness and absence payments, maternity and paternity pay).
- Administering Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) and Statutory Paternity Pay (SPP) schemes.
- Ensuring that all employee records are accurate.
- Ensuring that PAYE and other payments are made on time.
- Ensuring that National Minimum Wage and other regulations are adhered to.
- Assisting with any new payrolls as required.
- Any additional duties as required.

**Required Payroll Clerk Experience**:

- 2 years + end to end Payroll experience in a similar capacity.
- Experience of using Payroll systems is essential - Ceridian Dayforce or similar HCM software is highly advantageous.
- Strong level of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain strong working relationships with the wider team and employees.
- Excellent query management abilities.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines to ensure accurate payrolls are delivered within strict timeframes.
- A self-motivated, calm and professional approach to tasks and duties.
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy and time focussed environment.
- The ability to work well as part of a friendly team.
- The ability to commit to a minimum 12-month contract.
