**Registered Manager - New residential children home - B**a**sic salary circa £50k plus generous quarterly bonuses and flexible hours
- Solihull, Birmingham**

This is an exciting and highly rewarding opportunity for you to shape a children home as you wish. Coming in from the very start and establishing and developing the home in your own way with the help of very supportive directors.

As the **Registered Manager** your primary objective will be to ensure high quality care is provided to children and young people, while creating a safe, warm, welcoming and nurturing residential child care environment that meets their individualneeds and where they can work toward their full potential.

The scale of opportunity is unmatched in this market - our client is looking for a future leader and as such is keen to talk with Registered Managers ready to step up into an **Operations Manager** role with in the coming year.

The **Registered Manager** duties will include:

- Overseeing OFSTED visits and audits
- Establishing and maintaining good quality practice in Residential care and education
- Ensure the positive development of young people in their care
- Through the use of the community, supporting the social and learning aspects of young people
- Providing leadership, guidance and support to the team
- Managing staff welfare, staff absence etc

**For this Registered Manager role you will need**:

- Ideally hold a level 5 or equivalent qualification in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People)
- Experience working as a Registered Manager children home
- Have held previous OFSTED Registration
- A strong knowledge of care standards including child protection issues
- Experienced deputy managers who have stepped up and taken on duties beyond their usually remit will also be considered
