Our state-of-the-art facilities in Horwich are expanding and our new £4.2 million waste processing plant is now up and running. As a result, we are looking to grow our team of dedicated staff and the Logistics team now has an exciting new opportunity for a motivated and experienced Logistics Planner.

**Competitive Hourly Rate DOE**

**Monday-Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm**
**plus 1 in 4 Saturdays 7am to 12pm**

**The Role**
- Effectively plan driver routes and loads, considering vehicle and material availability mileage and customer requirements
- Complete the daily planning and dynamic allocation of work to the fleet vehicles
- Prioritise deliveries and loads as needed
- Work proactively to monitor the vehicles throughout the day to ensure that schedules and routes are completed as planned
- Work effectively with the Yard team to ensure that all requirements are considered and that materials are delivered and/or collected according to business need

**What you need**:
**Essential**:

- Experience working as a planner/scheduler within a fast-paced, busy environment
- Understanding of transport compliance
- Excellent telephone manner
- Ability to work proactively, taking ownership for resolving issues effectively
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Attention to detail is key - you will be receiving and passing on crucial information to drivers and other teams within the company.

**Desirable**:

- Experience within the waste management industry would be beneficial, however not essential, as full training will be offered on starting.
