Hospitality Volunteer

Markfield, United Kingdom Shuttlewood Clarke Foundation Full time

Ulverscroft Manor welcomes pre-booked groups of elderly, disabled or socially isolated visitors for a day visit. Our Manor visitors enjoy an uplifting day out in the countryside and a delicious two course, home-cooked lunch, in a tranquil and welcoming home from home setting.

Can you help? We are looking to recruit volunteers to assist on Wednesdays to assist the cook with preparing vegetables, serving hot drinks, lunches and washing up duties. This role also includes talking to and befriending our visitors, running a small sales room and selling raffle tickets for the monthly draw. Full training will be provided.

We are in a rural location with no bus routes so own transport would be essential.

There is also the opportunity to gain more volunteer experience at Ulverscroft Grange where we have three charity shops, community gardens and allotments and our lovely tearooms.

References for relevant experience will be required, you must be willing to have a DBS and reference checks will be made.

Volunteers are able to purchase discounted food on the day they volunteer so would be able to enjoy a homemade hot lunch at a discounted rate on the day they work.
