**Wanted** We are currently looking for variable hours, Front-of-House Castle Team members to join our great team at Newcastle Castle. Day to day responsibilities will include ensuring that the site is ready to open, welcoming visitors to the site, responding courteously and appropriately to visitor enquiries and feedback, taking money as required for both admissions and retail sales, closing down and setting up and cleaning down events as required, ensuring complete visitor satisfaction.

**Hours**:Variable

**Wage**: £11.51 per hour

**Requirements**:

- An outgoing personality with good communication skills.
- Energetic and committed in providing excellent customer service and experience.
- Able to work on variable hours across a seven day rota, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Able to handle money, take payments and process orders using our till system.
- Please note that attitude and aptitude can be more important than lots of experience as we will provide training.
- Aged 18 and over

**Responsibilities**:

- Playing your part in supporting the general development of the organisation in order to achieve the strategic plan
- Welcoming visitors to the site, engaging and responding courteously and appropriately to visitor enquiries and feedback.
- Follow policies and procedures as required
- Willingness to undertake training to enable you to complete daily duties, ad-hoc jobs and ensure site operations safety, security and cleanliness
- Diligently and accurately carry out all cash handling operations
- Play your part to ensure that all events, hires, weddings, are set up and ready for clients
- Provide excellent customer service, and maintain a positive, professional attitude, and working relationship, with all other employees and volunteers.

Preference will be given to applicants with an interest in the site’s heritage and a strong ability to engage with members of the public.

Due to the nature of the venue, there are very steep steps. Lone working is a part of daily duties.
