**Hull**
**Salary: £24,878 -** £38,309 FTE per annum (Dependant on qualifications and experience)**
**35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year**
As our **Automotive Lecturer**,** **you will work primarily with students engaged across a range of courses providing support needed to achieve their programme of study. The post-holder will need to be innovative in their teaching methods and responsible for aspects of leadership within the curriculum.

**Responsibilities of our** **Automotive Lecturer**:
- Deliver teaching and learning, ensuring stretch, challenge and engagement of students of all ages and abilities including apprentices.
- Plan, prepare and update all relevant teaching documentation including schemes of work, lesson plans and online learning materials, using Canvas.
- Lead, coordinate and support course activities which will support the achievement of curriculum area targets. Accurately carry out the qualification completion process within the departmental systems in a timely manner.
- Take responsibility and facilitate academic tutorials for students.
- Be involved in the marketing, promotion, recruitment and interviewing of students, including attending open events, enrolment events, amongst other activities.
- Assess, monitor, and record feedback to students to facilitate their best achievement using the College’s data systems and processes, working to exam board guidelines and quality systems.
- Lead, coordinate and support IV/IQA processes within the curriculum area.
- Contribute to the quality assurance processes and curriculum design within the area.
- Attend meetings and communicate with colleagues within the curriculum area as and when required.
**What we’re looking for in our** **Automotive Lecturer**:
- Subject specific Level 3/4 qualification
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training/Cert Ed/PGCE (or willingness to achieve within two years)
- Minimum of a level 2 qualification in English and maths
- Relevant Trade background
- Oral, written and presentation skills
- Cert. Ed/ PGCE or willingness to work towards
- Able to work with students of all ages in classroom, workshop and one to one situation, including students from Hull College
