We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Strength and Conditioning Coach to lead and innovate within our Physical Performance Department. Under the management of the Head of Physical Performance, you will have a proven track record of delivering elite-level strength and conditioning programs, demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, and possess a relentless drive to achieve world-class standards in program design and delivery.
**What will you be doing?**
- ** **Program Development**:Design, implement, deliver and oversee comprehensive strength and conditioning programs tailored to the needs of professional football players, ensuring alignment with the latest scientific research and industry best practices.
- ** **Leadership**:Provide strategic direction and leadership to the strength and conditioning team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- **Player Development**:Collaborate with the PPC team performing individual and team assessments to develop personalized training plans that enhance performance, reduce injury risk, and support players' long-term development.
- ** **Collaboration**: Work closely with medical staff, technical coaches, nutritionists, and other departments to ensure a holistic approach to player performance and well-being.
- ** **Monitoring and Evaluation**: Utilise advanced monitoring tools and techniques to track and evaluate player progress, adjusting programs as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- ** **Lead**: Goalkeeper specific training programs to optimise the preparation and long-term athletic development of the GK squad
- ** **Education and Mentorship**: Mentor and educate players, coaching staff, and other staff on best practices, promoting an environment of knowledge sharing and professional development.
- ** **Innovation**: Stay at the forefront of strength and conditioning advancements, integrating new methodologies and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- ** **Compliance**:Ensure all programs adhere to club policies, league regulations, and ethical standards.
**Who are we looking for?**
To be successful in this role, you will have industry recognised certifications (Eg UKSCA) and a higher-level degree or PhD in a related discipline to the role ideally sport science, strength and conditioning.
Your previous experience of working in elite high performance sport environment will include substantial record of delivering regularly to elite athletes with proven football specific experience working in a similar role.
You will be able to demonstrate expertise in S&C program design and implementation plus have strong analytic and problem-solving skills. You will have a genuine passion for football and long-term athletic development. You will have the ability to think creatively and implement cutting edge training techniques.
It is essential that you can build good relationships and rapport quickly with players, coaches and other staff throughout the club. Our relationships represent and reflect on the whole department. You will have proven leadership and management experience.
You will be a clear communicator with the ability to explain big concepts in small words. You will regularly be required to present your opinions to the MDT.
This role requires you to be a team player, work unsocial hours, in a high-pressure environment with a positive attitude. You will be a cultural architect to build and maintain a high-performance environment and mindset in yourself and others.

This is a full-time permanent role working across the week including early mornings, evenings and weekend. Your main base will be our AXA Training Centre and you’ll need to be within commutable distance.
