We are currently looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer in Plymouth.

**Working hours**:
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be required to work Monday to Friday

**The successful Principal Mechanical Engineer will be offered**:

**As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, your role will involve**:

- Contribute to the development and growth of the company by identifying new opportunities and potential areas for growth and also maintaining and developing existing client relationships.
- Produce budgets for clients based on their specifications and monitor spending to ensure that, as far as possible, projects are delivered within their budget and time scales.
- Act as part of a multi-disciplinary design team to ensure successful timely preparation and delivery of project objectives, including providing technical support.
- Liaise with the client and external design teams as necessary for the successful delivery of projects.
- Monitor and pursue own training and development requirements
- Keep up to date with technical developments, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to the discipline
- Identify scope and schedule changes, in accordance with the change control process, maintain planning and cost control on all scopes
- Provide mechanical building engineering services design to buildings and infrastructure.
- Compile specifications, drawings and contract documents and maintain the required technical quality of work, ensuring that designs comply with the relevant codes, standards, regulations and procedures

**To be considered for the Principal Mechanical Engineer role you must have**:

- You will hold a relevant degree, have achieved either CEng or IEng through an appropriate engineering institution and have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Must have a mechanical building services background
- Experience with Revit, Cymap or Hevacomp
- Have a sound commercial, financial and contractual understanding of working in a consulting practice
