**We are currently recruiting **

A **Registration Officer **to work at **Preston Registration Office. **This is a permanent role, and you will work 37 hours per week and this will include some evening/weekend and bank holiday cover.

The role is to
- to undertake duties attached to the registration of Births, Deaths and Still births.
- attest notices of marriage and civil partnerships
- register or conduct statutory and non-statutory ceremonies at registration offices, religious buildings and other approved premises within the local authority.
- provide management support to the team in the absence of the team manager.

**Our service **

The Registration Service creates **accurate and timely records **of all **Births, Still-Births, Deaths, Marriages and Civil Partnerships **and makes provision for couples to **give notice **of their intention to marry or to form a Civil Partnership.

**Your new role **

We are looking for someone who is **customer focussed, **confident using **digital resources **and committed to effective **team working. **You will have supervision experience with the skills to **manage **and **motivate **a team of staff and provide **technical advice and support **.

You will also need to communicate effectively with a range of audiences and have the ability to work independently and **manage resources **.
