Senior Commissioner

**Job Description
Grade 9 - £51,093- £55,155pa
- 2 Year Fixed Term Contract/Secondment Opportunity**

This role will report to the Assistant Directors - Joint Commissioning Unit and will have supervisory/management responsibility for a number of staff.

The post holder is required to manage the supported housing programme which includes various and projects and contracts at various stages of delivery. The role requires the post holder to work in conjunction with a range of partners within and outside the organisation, to be responsible for delivering projects that have significant risk and/or significant budgets or savings targets (e.g. c£10m) in conjunction with operational colleagues, external stakeholders and independent providers that result in improved outcomes for residents.

**About You**

Supported housing is an important part of Havering’s housing offer to support vulnerable people. The post holder should demonstrate experience in leading and commissioning new initiatives and delivering projects that result in substantial change, with experience in working with service users, service colleagues and partners to create change that is co-designed. Partners include Children’s Services, Adult Social Care, Housing and Regeneration.

The post holder will also need to have excellent report writing and oral communication skills, along with experienced in project development and excellent presentation skills.
