Broadstairs, United Kingdom EKC Group Full time

**About The Role**:
**Please note that this is a part-time role for 23 hours per week with a pro-rated salary of £19,106.78 per annum.**

As an ALS Tutor in the EKC group you will assess and work with students from a variety of learning environments who are experiencing difficulties with learning. Your role will include providing 1:1 and small group support to learners to enable them to achieve their maximum potential, and planning focused tasks which complement designated study programmes and/or courses.

You will have key responsibility for ensuring the design, delivery and evaluation of these support programmes. Often this support will be informed by targets set within EHCPs and will compliment the curriculum offer. You may also be involved in the delivery of in-service staff training.

Your involvement with students will include participating in the consultation process for students with EHCPs hoping to attend a college in the EKC Group. You will support any students working at level 2 and 3 to ensure a high quality learning experience. You will also contribute to annual reviews for students with EHCPs to consider their achievements, support needs and next destinations.

We pride ourselves in the support we can give those who are new to teaching, with ongoing training and coaching through our Teacher Academy. If you do not have any teaching experience or teacher qualifications but have a passion for sharing your knowledge and would like to be considered for this teaching role, please apply.

Working as a tutor in the EKC Group is an extremely rewarding role with excellent benefits, such as competitive holiday entitlement, access to a range of discounts on many high street stores and a generous pension scheme.

**About You**:
Experience in working with individuals with learning needs and/or care needs and an understanding of EHCPs would also be an advantage.

Ideally you will have experience of teaching or have delivered 1:1 support or training in the workplace, although this is not essential as training will be offered to the successful applicant. You must have a positive outlook and be empathetic towards learners.
