**Job description**:
This is an exciting time to join our diverse, outstanding and motivated team where we are seeking likeminded and dedicated individuals. Our roles provide a great sense of achievement and enrichment, by supporting accomplishing outputs and goals based at various United States Air Force (USAF) bases.
No two days are the same as we support the United States Visiting Forces (USVF) in the UK. Our outputs include the delivery of works; developing and implementing DIO/US Civil Engineering joint policy and procedures and undertaking Estate Stewardship on behalf of the Secretary of State ensuring the estate is Safe and Legally compliant.
This role requires good organisational and communications skills bringing together partners from DIO, USVF, Contractors and End Users to ensure the successful delivery of projects. You must be highly capable working across functional borders to build successful & integrated project teams. You will take the lead in setting the highest professional standards and upholding DIO values.

**Leadership and Team Management**
- Leading project teams. Managing priorities and targets ensuring delivery of objectives.
- Promoting a positive, collaborative, and proactive working environment within project teams and with key contractual and financial functions, within DIO and MOD.
- Developing teams and individuals to build capability, ensure appropriate plans are in place and supporting Departmental business.
**Customer Management**
- Developing strong and collaborative relationships with customers and contractors supporting effective communications and delivery of services. Understand and act on customer and DIO priorities.
- Acting on customer feedback, establishing and delivering action plans for systemic issues within projects.
- Attending and chairing customer liaison meetings, providing expert estate advice in line with DIO’s vision, seeking advice when required.
**Service Delivery and Assurance**
- Managing and assuring service delivery, meeting customer needs and achieving value.
- Validating and approving payments to the Business Support and Commercial Teams, undertaking financial forecasting.
- Developing and delivering annual assurance plans ensuring compliance with legislation and contract deliverables.
- Collaborating closely with the Core, Technical and Assurance leads to ensure compliance with DIO policies and practices and technical advice.
- Investigating and rectifying compliance and service delivery issues.
- Producing high quality and accurate reports covering contractor performance, risks and issues.
**Change and Efficiency Management**
- Managing projects through to completion addressing changing customer requirements and updating the Command Infrastructure Development Plan (CIDP). Ensure changes are appropriate and technically robust.
- Developing Business Cases for DIO expert scrutiny.
- Ensuring effective & efficient delivery of major and high-profile projects.
- Identifying and developing efficiency opportunities.
- Provide authoritative advice to the customer of efficiency opportunities to support decision making.
**Desirable Skills and Experience**
- Recognised Project Management Qualifications or experience in delivering construction projects.
- Commitment to develop Facility Management and Project Management qualifications within DIO as required.
