Associate Mammographer/assistant Practitioner

An experienced assistant practitioner/associate mammographer who holds the Certificate in Mammographic Studies or equivalent and enjoys working in a friendly, supportive team is required to join our busy symptomatic and screening unit.

The post holder will perform basic mammography to a high standard under the supervision of radiographers and clinical leads, and participate in equipment quality control checks.
The post holder will be part of the clinical team during diagnostic procedures within the breast screening, symptomatic and surveillance clinics, providing a high level of care, assistance and support to patients who attend.
The post holder will be familiar with the IT and administrative systems used in the department.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust consists of a 600 bedded large District General Hospital, which provides its services on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 64 bedded Intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital.

The Trust provides services in all of the surgical and medical specialties common to a District General Hospital with some specialist services. The Trust serves the whole of the local population currently in excess of 250,000 residents which geographically covers populations in England and North Wales.
