Farming 1500 acres of land and ancient woodlands, our visitors can immerse themselves in this stunning natural environment and landscape. It’s a small, vibrant community with big ambitions.

**Symondsbury Estate Visitor Centre and Home & Garden Store**

Located in the heart of the Estate our Visitor Centre and Home & Garden Store offer an inspirational retail and visitor experience. With a diverse and intriguing mix of products to suit all pockets the Home & Garden Store offers a carefully curated mix of home furnishings and accessories, lighting, giftware, books and stationery, garden ornaments and furniture, plants, children's educational gifts and deliciously tempting food and drink. We strive to bring something unique to this corner of West Dorset, sourcing products from local artisans and suppliers, the UK and the wider world.

The Visitor Centre is the storefront for the Estate and a place for visitors to discover and learn more about the Estate as a whole. This includes an edited retail area, places to sit and a space to promote and book experiences, workshops, holidays, weddings and events.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Interact with customers to provide an exemplary level of customer service
- Develop a wider understanding of the Estate and communicate the brand story with our customers
- Develop a thorough knowledge of our product ranges, workshops and experiences
- Day to day shopkeeping operations, stock replenishment and ensuring our products and store are always looking their best
- Use multiple software systems seamlessly to be able to book events, workshops and holidays for customers
- Engage in company training to develop your skills and immerse yourself in the Symondsbury Estate Brand
- In this role you will be expected to work across both spaces
- Flexible working which will include **weekends**

**Skills and experience**
- Preferably experience working in a retail, hospitality or customer-facing environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible, highly organised and reliable
- Understand sales targets and have an attitude to succeed
- Team player
- Confident, energetic, and enthusiastic
- A creative eye for merchandising would be desirable
