GSL Education are working with a client school in
**Torquay** who are looking for a
**patient and empathetic** Teaching Assistant to act as a supportive and positive influence on its pupils. Working to maintain a safe and inclusive environment, we need you to be able to create fun in learning and to be a calming and understanding role model when dealing with any additional needs and requirements necessary.

**You will need to be;**
- Comfortable supporting pupils with complex and additional needs
- Able to provide social, emotional, and academic support on a 1:1 and small group basis when required
- Able to establish a warm, caring and supportive relationship with pupils allowing them to feel safe and able to enjoy and learn during their time at school.
- Able to support the class teacher in the delivery of a creative curriculum, outdoor curriculum, or play-based learning curriculum.
- Able to provide individualised behaviour interventions within your role as well as ensuring the child's safety at all times.
- Be confident in their abilities and have a passion for helping people
- Know how to support the inclusion and progress of children with SEMH
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
