**Hours of Work**:40 hours per week plus overtime, 5 over 7 days (1 hour unpaid lunch)

**Driving Licence**:Class 2 (C), Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC), ADR advantageous however training is provided

**About us**

BATA was established as a farmers' cooperative in 1894 at Brandsby, North Yorkshire, 10 miles north of York. Today we are still an agricultural supply cooperative with 4,000 share members. We offer a wide range of products, including bulk and bagged animal feeds, pet foods, heating oil, LPG, timber, fencing, horse rugs, seeds, or fertiliser, to name just a few.

**About the role**

The Agricultural Services Delivery Driver is primarily involved with the delivery and collection of agricultural supplies, feeds and sundry items and LPG gas cylinders from, or to, our central Warehouse or Country Stores to farm, business, and domestic customers.

The role requires you to be available to drive any type of vehicle which you are trained and qualified as required by BATA.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Safe Driving of a Large Goods Vehicle in accordance with the Highway Code.
- Operating the vehicle tachograph to record hours worked and comply with EU laws and Working Time Directive.
- Safe loading of Agricultural products, feeds etc.
- Security of vehicle, load and sheeting.
- Carrying out a Drivers Daily Walk Round Check, recording and reporting of defects
- Liaising with LGV Garage, Warehouse and Agricultural Transport Staff.
- Ensuring correct operation of vehicle and equipment to ensure safe delivery / collection of products.
- Adhering to safe working practices and Health and Safety instructions.
- Keeping vehicle clean (inside and out).
