Office Based, Commutable from Yeovil, Yetminster, Sherborne, and surrounding areas.
Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking for an autonomous role where you will manage projects from cradle to grave within a rapidly expanding bespoke automotive manufacturer where you will be heavily invested in to progress into a technical experts role?
This is a great opportunity for a driven design engineer to work on a variety of exciting projects within a close-knit specialist team all whilst developing your technical knowledge to become a go-to expert.
This company have been established for nearly 40 years and specialise in the design and manufacture of bespoke access equipment for vehicles. They work closely with blue chip clients and are renowned for being the UK's market leaders in what they do.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing new products and assembly drawings for reputable clients such as Ford, Mercedes and Volkswagen. You will have the opportunity to develop new concepts and bring your ideas to life.
This position would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer looking for an autonomous role where you will manage projects from cradle.
**The Role**:
*Designing new products and amending existing products from cradle to grave
*Developing new concepts and adapting to DCR's.
*Mon-Fri 8:00-17:00 with an early finish Friday.
*Extensive product training.
**The Person**:
*Background in Mechanical Engineering Design
*Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD.
*Looking for a long term role within a growing bespoke mechanical manufacturer.
