**The Opportunity**

At Hinkley Point C (HPC), we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK, which when complete will provide low carbon electricity for around six million homes.

We are looking for a **Configuration Management Lead** who will report into a Commissioning Manager and be responsible for the overall management and delivery of configuration control throughout the commissioning of HPC.

As a Configuration Management Lead, you will recruit, manage, and develop a team of Configuration Engineers and be required to engage with several senior stakeholders to develop the relevant framework and processes to ensure configuration control is maintained throughout the programme.

As a senior member of the team, you will also be supporting the Commissioning Manager in the overall delivery of commissioning objectives and be required to act as a deputy. This will include the opportunity to lead team meetings, accountabilities and engage with the wider business and external regulator.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Responsible for the overall configuration control off all commissioning activities.
- Day to day management of a configuration control team.
- Engaging with several senior stakeholders to ensure the effective development and implementation of configuration control arrangements.
- Providing information to assist the Commissioning Manager and Senior Commissioning Manager in meeting project-level objectives and milestones.
- Ensuring that the commissioning process meets nuclear, environmental, and industrial safety regulatory requirements, and that it reflects best practice in international safety and technical excellence.

**Who you are**

Your background may include some of the following:

- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Technical engineering background in a relevant engineering discipline and experience of leading others in a project-driven environment.
- Experience in maintaining configuration control and a strong understanding of its principles.
- Good management skills and experience in managing a team.
- Very good stakeholder management skills and ability to coordinate and number of activities at any given time.
- Delivery mindset, ability to get results through clear accountability, and the confidence to influence stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Ability to recognise, coach and develop the skills of others, creating an environment of safety, empowerment, and trust in a diverse team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to convey complex information to others.
- Experience of working in a regulatory environment.

It would be great if you also have
- Experience in the design, commissioning, maintenance and/or operations, particularly in the nuclear industry.
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of the impact of change.
- Some experience leading technical teams.
- Full member (or working towards full membership) of an internationally recognised engineering body.
