**Job Title**: Accounts Assistant
**Location**:Newhaven
**Salary**:£22,000 - £25,000 per annum, pro-rata
**Full Time**:Monday - Friday, 30-37.5 hours per week

Our client specialises in leasehold property management and surveying services which cover the South Coast. They are looking for an accounts assistant to join their team based in Newhaven, working between 30 and 37.5 hours per week.
**Responsibilities**
- To assist in chasing any outstanding service charges and Ground Rent invoices as per the terms of the Lease
- Chasing all service charges and Ground Rent arrears
- Assisting in collating and reviewing the financial information for the Year End Accounts
- Data entry on the software package for any new blocks
- Uploading all invoices onto the software and paying within a timely manner
- Reconciling of the banking transactions against the software and submitting monthly reconciliations for approval

**Requirements**:

- Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong numeracy skills
- Good problem-solving skills. Ability to analyse information and make recommendations accordingly
- Good IT skills, proficiency in Microsoft programmes. Knowledge of Qube would be advantageous
- Good team player - willingness to share knowledge and support other colleagues if required
- Accountable - take personal responsibility for successfully resolving matters
- Thorough - pay attention to detail
- Commitment - take pride in your own work
- Mature - take a calm, measured, common-sense approach to situations
- Positive - project an optimistic, can-do attitude
