**About the role**:
We are looking for a Regional Trainer to support team members cultivate their skills and knowledge, ultimately promoting our efficiency and competitive advantage by developing the skills of our team.

Your duties will include providing training both in the classroom and remotely, to share your expertise in ways that motivate others. This role is a key position in our Learning and Development Team and will be crucial in ensuring our staff are trained to deliver our corporate aspirations. We expect you to be passionate about helping people learn and grow, and to possess excellent communication skills. Some experience designing training courses would be desirable.

You should be an experienced educator or willing to learn and develop your skills with strong abilities to convey a deep knowledge of the care industry. Organisational skills and a positive attitude are also required.

**Regional Trainer responsibilities are**:

- Interact with Care Managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions to ensure care training compliance.
- Prepare and facilitate effective training programs and competencies for all roles.
- Work with Compliance to ensure that training materials and training delivery methods meet best practice and regulatory requirements and best practise.
- Provide trainer support to care home based champions and trainers including TTT sessions and refresher meetings.
- Organise workshops, provide individual training sessions including mentoring and coaching of our team members.
- Design and disseminate training resources for example power points, videos, handouts etc
- Monitor the success of learning and development plans and help team members make the most of learning opportunities.
- Support new starters with the onboarding process and monitor progress.
- Ability to inspire and create enthusiasm, energy, and cooperation in others to achieve work objectives.
- Work with the homes to ensure they access LA and Care Association memberships.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills are required with emphasis on developing people to achieve successful outcomes.
- Evaluate the educational progress to identify areas of improvement.
- Supervise team performance and response to training.
- Stay informed about new techniques in teaching and keep up to date with the introduction of policies, procedures, and systems.

**Regional Trainer requirements are**:

- Background education in learning and development and/or relevant qualification highly desirable.
- Preferred 2+ years' experience of working as a Trainer in Health and Social Care
- desirable.
- Significant experience with teaching methodologies and tools
- Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
- Good practical experience with MS Office including Microsoft 365, Excel PowerPoint, Teams Zoom and e-learning software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Industry recognised training certification e.g., PTLS desirable or willing to complete

**Location**:

- This position will be based at our Learning and Development Centre in Welwyn, with travel required to all our homes.
