**Junior Account Assistant - Edinburgh - Around 25K plus benefits**

Lorien's client - a firm with bases across the UK operating in the very busy property sector - is looking to secure the talents of a Junior Account Assistant to join their team on a permanent, full time basis. The lucky individual to secure this role willhave plenty of opportunities to progress in their career, upskill as they work, and enjoy a varied, evolving workload.

Their office is located in the heart of Edinburgh's busting city centre, very commutable from the surrounding region, and having introduced people into this team ourselves, we're happy to share with you the great feedback we've received already, and howpromising a role within this organisation can be. As well as this, there's a fantastic culture of internal development within the team and so training and career progression is very much on the cards.

**Snapshot of some of the duties involved and skill/knowledge required
(Please be aware there is a lot of flexibility, so don't worry if you haven't tackled all of the below - the key thing is you're happy to learn as you go)**:

- Liaising with more senior finance representatives, business analysts and other personnel across the business and the UK
- Processing of Sales & Purchase Invoices/Prepayments/Accruals
- VAT postings/returns
- Ledger account reconciliations
- Journals / credit card / bank postings
- Payment run management
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with individuals at any level
- Ideally a relevant qualification (ACCA / AAT / etc.)
- Skills across Sage / XERO / similar highly desirable
