Cranleigh is a leading fully co-educational independent boarding and day Senior School consisting of around 700 girls and boys of 13 - 18 years of age. There is also a Preparatory School in close proximity. Cranleigh aspires to be a beacon of excellence in learning and teaching and is committed to the continuing professional development of all employees. Accommodation is available with this post.
There are currently four French specialists in the department, supported by a language assistant. In total, there are eight teachers of Modern Languages at Cranleigh, most of whom teach both French and Spanish. The team is a friendly and open one, committed to providing all students with the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
In the Sixth Form we offer both AS and A-level in French and Lower School pupils take the Edexcel IGCSE. The department offers enrichment activities to inspire pupils and push them beyond the confines of the specification: each year we host our French Sixth Form Evening on a theme chosen by members of the French Department, and the biennial cultural trip has now restarted, with a joint trip to Paris held with the Art department.
