L3 Automotive Apprentice

**Job description**

Tameside College Apprenticeship department currently have X3 vacancies in automotive that we are looking to fill. They are based, Central Manchester, Hyde, and Mossley.
- You will be paid £5.28 per hour up until April 24 when the wage per hour increases to £6.40.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist senior automotive technicians in diagnosing and repairing vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Learn to use electrical schematics and logic controllers to troubleshoot vehicle issues
- Develop a strong understanding of automotive systems and components
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their vehicle concerns and provide exceptional customer service
- Weld and fabricate metal components as needed
- Assist in supervising and training other apprentices as necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

**Qualifications**:

- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Demonstrated leadership skills or potential for growth in a leadership role
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges in the automotive field

Expected hours: 30 per week
