**Role Description**

To work as part of this successful and dynamic business you will be customer focused and team centric in order to deliver an excellent customer journey.

As a Senior Underwriter, your knowledge within SME and/or Property & Casualty Market will support referrals from the Underwriting Team and deal with more complex SME risks.

We are looking for someone that has an excellent knowledge of the SME and/or Property and Casualty market and currently holds a minimum of packages Level A authority.

**About You**

**Skills and experience**
- Outstanding technical underwriting skills in SME and/or Commercial Property and Casualty.
- Excellent trading skills and a confident negotiator, with proven experience in handling referrals and more complex SME cases
- Strong ability to build, develop and maintain broker relationships.
- Strong ability to build internal relationships and to coach and train underwriters through referrals.
- Achievement orientated, able to organise own workload to meet tight deadlines and with a positive attitude.
- A good team player, supportive to others with an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
- Confident and engaging communication skills with the ability to challenge and influence others.
- ACII qualified or progression towards
- Full working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
