Equine Groom Apprentice

We are offering an Equine Groom Apprenticeship position Applicants should be enthusiastic and hard-working, with an understanding of the commitment and compassion required to care for horses.

The role will consist mainly of general yard duties and applicants should be confident handling horses or varying ages/temperaments.

Duties to include but not limited to;
- Mucking out
- Turning out and Catching in
- Feeding horses
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the yard
- Exercising horses

Riding is not essential but if of suitable ability there will be opportunities to ride.

- Confident and competent handling of horses.
- Commitment to keeping a high standard of work.
- Time conscious.

**Training**
- Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
- The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship.
- The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and onsite visits throughout the apprenticeship.
- The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
