What Are We Looking For
Our in-house design team are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our business in our office in Leeds. You will take on a leading role in aspects of projects from scoping and detailed design right through to implementation, ensuring compliancewith Client Specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus low on carbon solutions.
Some of your key duties include:
- Oversee design aspects of projects from inception to implantation.
- Ensure compliance with Client specification and current regulatory standards.
- Develop design deliverables.
- Complete checking and approval processes.
- Arrange procurement of goods and services.
- Prepare work scope estimates/quotations.
- Assemble contract works information documents.
- Consider project health and safety, quality and environmental matters.
- Liaise with all key stakeholders for the projects.
- Implement project change control and programme requirements.
- Take responsibility as Design Lead on allocated projects.
What do you need?
- Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of British and European design standards
- Minimum of 5 years proven track record as a Mechanical Engineer in both a design office and in a construction environment within the Water (or related Process) Industry
