Female Support Workers

We are a very successful company looking to recruit caring, passionate, conscientious, and reliable Care Workers who have some experience in working with someone who has respiratory issues. Our client unable to weight bear.

We are looking for honest, dependable, and dedicated people with a genuine desire to care and support, who can work in Leicester and who have a passion and drive to support to achieve goals and provide support to promote independence for our client within their own home. You will provide personal care and full support to develop full potential and support with activities.

You will support our client throughout the day and night, with all tasks of daily living including personal care, transfers, hoisting, pressure sores, encouragement to maintaining skin integrity and with all nutritional intake needs. This will include the following:
DAYTIME SUPPORT

Assisting with personal care, including help to wash, toilet, dress/undress.
Undertake light domestic work, such as shopping and cleaning.
Prepare meals and help with eating and drinking.
Assist with mobility and transferring by hoist.
Ensure that the wheelchair is in order and fully charged, to enable to use it independently.
Assist with personal shopping and attend to any paperwork.
Assist to carry out all normal social and practical activities of daily living.

NIGHT-TIME

Assist to prepare for going to bed.
Make comfortable in bed and ensure that pendant alarm is with client in case of emergency.
Assist during the night with repositioning.
Plug in electric wheelchair so it is fully charged by the following morning.

Care Workers will be supporting the client to live an active lifestyle and need to be calm, reliable, and hardworking and it is **Essential **they have:

- Experience of working with someone with respiratory issues.
- An understanding of what is ‘a person-centred approach’.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Desirable relevant vocational or academic qualification. e.g., NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social care or willing to complete training.

Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour
