To perform general administrative tasks in line with internal practices and business objectives in addition to supervising responsibilities to the LR team. To also provide defined task co-ordination and practical support to Litigators within the LR team whilst managing their own caseload.

Supervisory responsibility
- To continuously monitor and review the operational capacity and performance of the team(s) with a view to proactively highlighting any concerns, propose change and provide solutions.
- To monitor and review training needs within the team(s) and assist in the preparation, sourcing and/or delivery of training as appropriate.
- Work with the team to problem solve and lead on more complex claims
- To report back to line management on any problem areas, offering ideas and suggestions for improvement
- To oversee and ensure appropriate post checking measures for both incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- To prepare, monitor and account for performance reports as required.
- To monitor and undertake file allocation processes as required.
- **Loss Recovery**_
- To pro-actively and effectively manage a caseload; ensuring exemplary file management at all times and in accordance with prescribed Service Level Agreements.
- To work as part of a team to answer incoming calls and provide cover for other team members as required.
- To litigate effectively in accordance with internal processes and procedures.
- To provide legal advice and assistance to clients in line with their best interests and within the relevant sphere of expertise.
- To seek authority in line with defined authority levels for all necessary key stages of case management.
- To achieve individually defined targets and contribute to team and operational objectives.
- To ensure accuracy of all external communications at all times; ensuring guidance is sought as and when appropriate.
- To attend and communicate with clients, courts and barristers as required.
- To ensure a current, working knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the CPR and areas of practice at all times.
- To undertake any training necessary to perform the role effectively.
