Tempting Recruitment is delighted to present a compelling opportunity with our respected client - a prominent council. We are currently seeking a dedicated Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join their dynamic team.

**The Position**:
The duties you will be performing as part of your role:

- Proactively manage a cross-tenure patch of properties in line with service standards and values.
- Serve as the key local contact for tenants, offering support for tenancy sustainability and income maximization.
- Work with vulnerable tenants, make referrals and liaise with partners to develop and monitor support plans.
- Conduct visits to ensure sustained tenancies and maintain properties in good condition.
- Provide housing advice, including home visits for rehousing processes, mutual exchanges, and transfers.
- Proactively manage and investigate reports of nuisance and anti-social behaviour, collaborating with other services for positive resolutions.
- Undertake reviews of fixed-term and introductory tenancies.
- Provide a responsive estate management service, ensuring a clean, safe, and sustainable environment.
- Conduct scheduled inspections to identify and address issues in estates and communal areas.
- Liaise with customers, other services, councillors, and partners, occasionally working outside normal hours.
- Support other company services, contacting tenants or gaining access to homes to minimize costs and maximize income.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

- Possession of a valid vehicle and driver's license.
- Effective ICT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
- Familiarity with housing and social care issues.
- Knowledge of housing-related legislation and welfare reform.
- Understanding of value-for-money principles.
- Proven experience in property management.
- Demonstrated expertise in estate management.
- Track record in tenancy management.
- Experience with housing-related software packages, including proficiency in mobile working tools (e.g., Northgate).
- Experience in coping with and adapting to change in a professional environment.
- Previous experience working as part of a diverse and inclusive workforce.

**Contract Duration**:Temporary

**Hourly Rate**:Competitive (Umbrella)

**Commencement Date**:November/December 2023

**Work Hours: Part-Time **Thursdays, Fridays and Alternate Wednesdays.
