**Job Purpose**:
Working as a Warehouse Operator the jobholder is responsible for:

- The safe & efficient running of equipment and all relevant safety checks.
- All movements of stock and stock control
- The movement of' pallets and items to and from racking and the shop floor areas, while ensuring quality and safety standards are met
- They must ensure production teams have enough stocks of finished and raw materials available as requested to maintain production in accordance with the FIFO (first in first out) procedure
- To load and unload trailers of stock in a safe and controlled manor observing all customer and quality standards
- Reporting any safety, damages, or issues to the warehouse supervisor or the production team
- Removal, disposal and control of scrap or reject materials in accordance with legal and company guidelines
- Any day today issues regarding operational, or quality matters should be reported and discussed with the warehouse supervisor to enable them to be resolved as quickly as possible
- Ensure their work area and equipment is kept clean & tidy and the 5s system is upheld
- Working as part of a team and encouraging/ supporting new personnel is essential

**Working hours: 5 Shift - 12.25 hour shifts, 12 shifts per month, rotates between 3 days and 6 days off. (3 days, 6 days off, 3 nights, 3 days off repeat)**

**Key Competencies**:
**Health & Safety** - Work in a responsible manner to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals as well as yourself. Prompt completion of safety checks and incident reporting

**Quality Standards** - In depth knowledge of customer requirements and product quality standards and documentation. Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

**Machine Operating** - Competent in the skills required to operate machinery in the warehouse areas. Ability to achieve targeted movements and outputs, whilst maintaining quality and safety standards. Good understanding and use of fault reporting to ensure a safe working environment. Attention to detail with labelling and wrapping.

**Stock Control **- Competent in the skills required to perform the daily stock checks in the warehouse and production areas using the appropriate PC and RF equipment and data entry onto the business system. Ability to perform the Safety checks in accordance with the Albea and legal specified standard. Good understanding of customer requirements for loading and able to communicate non-compliance effectively.

**Moving and control of pallets - **Competent in the skills required to move, wrap and label in the warehouse and production areas using the appropriate PC and wrapping equipment in accordance to the Albea specified standard.

**Loading and unloading** - Competent in the skills required to perform the daily material handling within the warehouse area. Competent in the use of a forklift and SAP stock control. Good understanding of daily dept demands. Good understanding of customer expectations regarding finished goods.

**Documentation** - Ability to understand and complete required documentation and instructions.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:
**Health and Safety**:

- Observing all safety, environmental and ‘cardinal’ rules and agreed working procedures at all times
- Carry out all prescribed safety checks using the correct format and assist in resolving any safety issues that may arise from these checks or during everyday activities.
- Wear safety equipment and protective clothing when requested to do so by the company representative, whether that be a Manager, Supervisor, Technician or any other person who is nominated by the Company to act in the capacity of the person responsible for others’ work activities, in accordance with company policy
- Inform the person they are responsible to immediately of any accidents/incidents, near misses, environmental contamination or damage to plant, production machinery, equipment and buildings in their area, whether an injury was sustained or not
- Inform the person they are responsible to immediately of any non-work-related injuries/illness that can become aggravated whilst at work
- Participate in improving health, safety and environmental standards within the Company by making suggestions on any aspect of work that in their opinion may improve working conditions and reduce accident potential or environmental impact concerning any aspect of the manufacturing activity
- Familiarise themselves with the departmental arrangements for emergency evacuation and fire precautionary procedures including identifying their fire, emergency assembly point
- Read the Company Health, Safety and Environmental Policy document together with the organisational arrangements for implementing the commitment referred to in the policy.
- Attend training sessions and courses on health, safety, environmental and fire precautionary arrangements
