General Assistant

Job Introduction
In your role as **General Assistant** at Sodexo in **Derwent Primary - Henlow**, you will work within the catering team at our esteemed schools, making sure that our vibrant meals are served with a smile and that the kitchen and restaurant are operating efficiently. We are passionate about providing high-quality, nutritious, fresh, and sustainable food for our younger generation, we're fully committed to supporting a healthy diet. **What you do**:

- Assist with set up and service of hot and/or cold meals.
- Sanitise and clean workstations and equipment.
- During meal times, serve and restock food from counters and steam tables, tidy up stations, and follow recipes or product instructions to estimate food requirements.
- Engage with students in the eating, retail, and serving areas.

**What you bring**:

- Capability to work for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours) in a standing position.
- Professionalism, respect for others, and a positive attitude
- Fundamental food handling abilities
- Prior experience preferred, however, not essential
