Our client currently have an exciting opportunity for a Research Technician to join us. You will take ownership of providing technical laboratory support engaging with the customer to meet their needs, and we are offering this role on a full time, permanentbasis.

You will work Monday to Friday during core hours, from our client's location at Macclesfield: Charter Way, Silk Road Business Park, Macclesfield, SK19 2NA.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**
- 1st line support for all chemistry equipment including custom designs, builds, modifications & troubleshooting
- Liaise with other service providers internal & external and scientists to ensure that all Service Level Agreements are met performing simple to complex tasks
- Ordering and maintaining stock levels of parts required to carry out the tasks
- Responsible for other laboratory duties including Liquid Nitrogen fills, FACTair testing and water sampling

**Experience Required**
- Good mechanical/engineering knowledge
- Knowledge of GLP, GMP and SHE requirements
- A broad, in depth knowledge of R & D laboratory equipment, its functions, capabilities and installation. For example, glass jacketed reactors, heater chiller circulators, pipework & associated fittings, Rotavaps, vacuum pumps
- Ability to troubleshoot issues regarding equipment design, whilst demonstrating a mechanical and logical work ethics
