- **The Club**_

The **Oxford and Cambridge Club** is an exclusive private members Club with a Grade II*-listed Clubhouse in central London. The Club has 46 bedrooms, a fine dining restaurant, 3 banqueting suites, 2 bars, 2 squash courts, a billiards room and extensive libraries. The Club has nearly 5000 members.
- **The Role**_

We are recruiting for a **Shift Leader **to join our Front Office team. Duties will include providing a warm greeting to Members and guests, check in and check outs, taking bookings for bedrooms and the restaurant. Dealing with queries, answering and transferring calls all carried out in a professional, courteous manner. Security awareness is also paramount. The role is a full time position working 40 hours per week, any 5 days out of 7 including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- **The Person**_
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Superb organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead a small team.
- Previous experience in a similar role, in a Club or 5 star hotel.
- Knowledge of additional languages is beneficial.
- **Main Duties**_
- Checking guest in/out, using the correct procedure.
- Maintaining security by following procedures and controlling access, this includes welcoming at the door, making sure all members show their membership card on entry and sign in any guests. This also includes preventing unauthorised access.
- Ensure adequate staffing is in place at all times as per the rota.
- Book accommodation, restaurant reservations, facility bookings, and sending confirmations.
- Carry out “on the job training” as appropriate and ensure all relevant training documentation is kept up to date.
- Prepare and maintain relevant departmental reports and forecasts
- Settling bedroom and restaurant bills using various payments.
- Answering telephone, screening and directing calls.
- Keep the Secretary advised of important issues affecting the Club.
- Carry out all reasonable requests given by the Deputy Secretary and the Secretary.

**Standards**
- High standards of personal hygiene and grooming are adhered to as per the grooming standards policy.
- Good command of written and spoken English essential.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Ability to conduct yourself in a fit and suitable manner at all times.
- Deliver a professional manner and high standards of service at all times.
- Ensure good relations are kept between fellow colleagues and members.
- Always act in a professional manner and lead by example.
- Follow the SOPs and keep them up to date.
- Standards of personal hygiene and grooming are adhered to as per grooming standards policy.

**General**
- Attend all training as required.
- Ensure you are at your workplace at the start time of your shift in correct uniform.
- Adhere to the Club’s Data Protection Policy and procedures in conjunction with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and ensure private and confidential data is kept secure and disposed of in the appropriate manner.
- Usage of any social media account must adhere to the Club’s Social Media Policy.
- Knowledge of emergency and evacuation procedures.
- Knowledge of fire procedures.
- Knowledge of Club rules and regulations.
- Carry out any reasonable requests by your head of department or any member of the Duty Management team.
- Support all duties and responsibilities in conjunction with the Head of Reservations.
