Catering Assistsant

Job Introduction
As a **Catering Assistant** at Sodexo in **North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Training Centre, Easingwold YO613FA **If you have a passion for food, enjoy providing great customer service and want to develop in the catering industry this post is for you.

Working with the catering lead you will be responsible for the food planning, preparation and service of meals to staff, trainees and visitors at this unique location.

Customer service skills are paramount to making the experience of dining with us an enjoyable one and one that enhances the day of those attending the training centre

**What you’ll do**:

- Be a vital part of the catering operation and ensure our busy kitchens run smoothly
- Assist with kitchen admin if required
- Assist with prep, serving and the cleanliness of our kitchen facilities
- Provide excellent communication with staff and the cliental colleagues
- Improve the quality of life for those we are serving

**What you bring**:

- A can-do attitude and flexible approach to working
- Excellent attention to detail, plus good communication skills
- Previous experience in a similar role would be ideal, but not required
- General knowledge of health and safety procedures
- Understanding of basic food hygiene and cleaning
