To participate in all aspects of the preparation and care for the deceased and ensure the funeral service is carried out in line with the client’s wishes by engaging directly with the client and leading the funeral team on the day of the funeral.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- To lead and conduct the funeral and ensure its smooth delivery on the day
- To liaise directly with the funeral arranger in preparation for the funeral as well as conducting pre-funeral calls / visits with the client and ensure all checks are completed
- Undertake driving duties transporting both the deceased or the client, maintaining a professional and dignified manner at all times
- Assist on the funeral, bearing the deceased in coffin or stretcher, floral tributes etc.
- Cleaning and maintenance of fosters’ vehicles as well as other general housekeeping duties
- Perform all activities in relation to the preparation and delivery of the funeral including, transportation of the deceased and their ashes, coffin preparation, preparation of the deceased, funeral administration and conducting the funeral
- Carry out the SOPs, especially care of the deceased and conducting the funeral including as well as Identification procedures, updating funeral software
- Carry out health and safety training
- Complete timesheet documentation and make know your future availability to work
- Participate on the duty on call rota - Take first calls and inform client of next steps
- Further enhance and develop Fosters reputation

- Ability to act promptly but in a measured and considered way
- Driving license essential
