**Financial Controller**
**Northwich - Hybrid working**
**£65,000 - £70,000**

This international business is seeking a high-calibre Financial Controller, to join the business and work alongside an inspirational CFO.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to move to a business that offers career progression, as the company have ambitious growth plans, this position has a path to become FD.

You will be a hands-on, technically strong and ambitious Financial Controller, who will take complete ownership for running the day-to-day Finance department and provide effective leadership to the team.
This role will also require you to contribute to the overall development and delivery of business strategy, whilst overseeing the Group's internal and external reporting, managing financial governance and controls and providing commercial support tor the CFO.

**As Financial Controller your role will involve**:

- Provide dynamic and effective leadership of the established Finance team; with coaching and mentoring to ensure a high performing team
- Optimise day-to-day performance of the Finance department
- Complete ownership of the period end process including payroll. Produce month-end consolidated accounts and reports
- Responsible for the integrity and reporting of the balance sheet, including completion of monthly control processes and reconciliations
- Responsible for all aspects of the financial control environment, ensuring that rigorous processes and procedures are always operating effectively
- Proactively seek to improve the processes to support business growth and increase financial awareness
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial and accounting regulations (local and international regulations)
- Deal with all tax matters and submissions (including VAT and duty on imports \ exports)
- Oversee the year end audit process
- Manage relationship with external European accountants (French and German businesses)
- Analyse financial performance and spend; contribute to maximising profitability
- Provide accurate and timely management information to the CFO and other Directors
- Value-added commercial reporting
- Work with the cross department senior management team - contribute to the development and delivery of business strategy
- Be qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Have experience of working as an FC within a fast paced, high-growth business.
- Have strong management skills & a track record of inspiring and managing effectively
- Be technically strong and analytical
- Be a hands on FC and not afraid to roll up sleeves
- Lead from the front
- Have experience of working in a fast-paced environment; proactive, agile, responsive to opportunities and deliver to deadlines
