Pertemps are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Shunter / Yard Operative to join a client of ours in Salisbury. Our client specialises in HGV mechanical services and repairs. This will be a temporary ongoing position working Monday - Friday.
Overview for this HGV Class 1 Shunter/Yard Operative position:

- To collect and return customer vehicles
- To move vehicles in the yard to aid productivity of workshop technicians
- To liaise with both Technicians and Admin to ensure the yard is organised
- Ensure that customer vehicles are accessible on collection
- To move vehicles around the yard as required
- To ensure that the yard is kept tidy adhering to Health and Safety requirements
- Previous experience working in a busy yard environment beneficial
- Previous experience delivering excellent customer service beneficial
- HGV Class 1 licence essential
For this HGV Class 1 Shunter/Yard Operative position you will need:

- Class 1 Licence
- DQC card and Digital Tacho Card
- To be a team Player
- Excellent attention to detail
- Highly responsive but organised in approach
A little more information:

- £13 per hour
- Temporary ongoing
- Mon-Fri, 07:00 -13.00
- Minimum 8 hours per shift
- Newly qualified Class 1 Drivers welcome
