Brighton and Hove, United Kingdom Thrive Tribe Full time

**Join us on our journey to empower over a million people to change their behaviours and thrive**

At Thrive Tribe we deliver award-winning healthy lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that make people happier and healthier We’re looking for a Children’s Weight Management Practitioner to join our new weight management service in Brighton & Hove.

The role will encompass delivering a range of weight management interventions, including delivering our Gloji Energy programme to overweight and obese children and their families. Gloji Energy provides eligible families a fun and engaging programme, that encourages them to eat healthier, manage their weight and increase their physical activity levels. The holistic 12-week programme combines both one to one appointments and weekly group sessions.

Like all roles at Thrive Tribe, you can expect your time at work to be fun, varied and challenging. We don’t like to stick to a firm JD as we know from experience that things change throughout the lifetime of a role and it gives our people the chance to play to their strengths.

A typical day as a **Children's Weight Management Practitioner**_ _might include:

- Delivering evidence-based interventions that focus on diet, nutrition, physical activity, behaviour change, and psychological support.
- Delivering both remote and face to face interventions across the full life course through from pregnancy to adulthood.

- Be able to relate and communicate to both children and their parents/carers, handling sensitive conversations about weight in a professional manner.
- Ensuring an excellent and safe experience for residents using our policies and procedures.
- Supporting referral generation activities to promote the service including outreach and primary / secondary care liaison
- Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments - we’re always looking to share knowledge and resources
- Ensuring due consideration is given to Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislation, requirements and guidance.
- Helping us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our values
