**NEW OPPORTUNITY - Management Accountant, £35,000-40,000 p/a, Minworth, F/T Office
**Sheridan Maine are delighted to be working with a global manufacturing business based in the Sutton Coldfield area of Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an accountancy professional who is currently on the ACCA/CIMA pathway and ready totake the next significant step in their career. A great role for someone interested in the efficiencies of controls and analysing costs.
**The Role**
This role will require you to support the Financial Controller in delivering effective cost management and control within operation function. It was also involve managing the month end close process, through proactively working with operational managers toensure a reliable and accurate close within the agreed timetable. Other duties include (but are not limited to):

- Calculate the annual standard cost and analysing the results to ensure accuracy.
- Take ownership of the operational cost centres to ensure business processes are followed and expenditures are controlled.
- Monthly reconciliation of relevant balance sheet accounts, includes understand and reporting on risk and opportunities identified
- Own the inventory management process, including stock take and monthly reconciliation and analysis.
- Support the annual budget process and quarterly reforecast.

**The Person
**This organisation is looking for an individual who is self-motivated with an ability to use their initiative to seek solutions. Other requirements include:

- Experience doing accountancy in the manufacturing industry is ESSENTIAL
- A bachelor’s degree/advanced degree in finance and accountancy or other relevant fields (desirable NOT essential)
- On the ACCA/CIMA pathway.
- SAP experience is desirable, strong excel skills is necessary.
- Ability to travel into the office 5 days a week.
