Position Summary

Are you someone who wants to get involved in helping keep the world flowing for future generations?

This role plays a critical part in the delivery of our Strategy. We are looking for someone who can operate as a true business partner across our global business, to listen to the voice of our people whilst developing strong communication strategies and approaches to build employee engagement and connection.

The Opportunity

With an ambitious agenda, the pace is fast. You’ll be developing and implementing a global internal communications strategy, in line with Rotork’s Growth+ Strategy, connecting our people to our values and purpose through the development and delivery of an internal communications roadmap including actions that build connection to our strategy and help our people engage to its delivery.

You’ll also hold responsibility for external communication to deliver great messaging on behalf of Rotork. You may well have come through a journalism route and then gained experience inhouse with a flair for storytelling and creativity. You’ll be someone who is a true business partner, able to advise, design and deliver high impact campaigns and messages both internally and externally.

Experience Requirements

Collaborate to support the development and implementation of the employer brand and the employee value proposition & develop engaging communications that reflect our employer brand and attract talent

Partner with our business leaders, helping them to create engaging and clear messaging to all global colleagues

Review and own our global communication channels, working alongside internal stakeholders to refine and repurpose our communication channels, or propose opportunities to improve

Develop and deliver engaging content about our people and our business, building relationships across our business to identify and source content

Work with internal stakeholders including our Marketing team to identify, develop and deliver high impact internal communications campaigns to support business priorities across the full channel mix, including digital, social, and video

Input to and use the output from our pulse surveys and other initiatives to really understand how we can best communicate the right things at the right time in the right way to our people

Establish measurement of the continued effectiveness and improvement of internal communication

Develop content for corporate reporting and governance requirements including the Annual Report

Hold responsibility for external communication, our messaging regarding media, social media and to external parties including charities, communities and broader stakeholders, working closely with our Investor Relations Director to deliver great messaging on behalf of Rotork

About You

A thorough understanding of communication strategies, content creation and channels, with experience in developing and implementing engaging internal communications strategies and campaigns for a wide range of audiences, including a remote workforce and non-digital users

Can demonstrate the ability to take broad concepts and turn them into well-structured plans, and put those plans into action

Positive and engaging, with excellent project management skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities

A strong written and oral communicator with a flair for storytelling and strong attention to detail

A willingness and ability to be ‘hands-on’ and to deliver to challenging timescales. Whilst the role holder can draw on support from around the business, the role does not lead a large team and so you will need to be someone who enjoys designing, creating and delivering a broad range of activities, prioritising well

The ability to be a true partner and collaborate closely across our business at all levels

Previous experience operating across a global matrix business would be an advantage

Exposure to ESG initiatives could be an advantage as these form a key component of our strategy
